Recipe of my frivolous appetizer - served in the dish of Vietri ceramic
... My frivolous appetizer:
When I have guests for the dinner, I like amaze them with something of particular, so, I rivisited the recipe of canapés and I inventend a simple but frivolous appetizer.
The dish is very easy but, it will surely amaze your guests, when you'll serve it on the table.
Ingredients for appetizer with tuna's cream:
2 slices of white bread for sandwiches (long slices without board)
240 gr of tuna with olive oil (dryed)
A touch of capers
3-4 spoons of mayonnaise
Ingredients for appetizer "Giardiniera" (with pickled vegetables):

4-5 slices of ham
Giardiniera salad (pickled vegetables, also buy in the supermarket)

150 gr of almonds

Preparation:
For the appetizer with tuna cream, you must begin by whisking together the capers, tuna and mayonnaise. Meanwhile, on a work surface, roll out of the film and, above, the slices of bread with a rolling pin to thin and stretch for good slices.
Once the slices will be thinned and elongated and tuna cream, in a blender, you will be well mixed, take the cream and, using a spoon, spread it on white bread. Try to make one nice double layer.
Once you have smeared the cream of tuna, you must close roll the slices of bread, rolling it on themselves and closed in the film, as if they were "candies"

Repeat the same procedure for the starter "Giardiniera".
After spreading the slices of bread, make a layer of mayonnaise, then the "Giardiniera" and finally, cover with the ham.
Roll up and wrap with plastic wrap and store them 4 "candies" in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

While the "candies" rest in the fridge, to accompany them can take the almonds and toast them in the oven, with oil, salt and pepper. 180° for 15 minutes.
After 30 minutes, take the "candies", free them of the film and cut into thick slices at least a couple of cm.
Serve by placing them on a platter of www.ceramicavietrese.it, leaving the center space for roasted almonds.
